How to prepare for a coaching session
Ten minutes of preparation changes what a session can do. Here is a simple routine that works for first sessions and fiftieth sessions alike.

Start with what changed
Before each session, write three lines: what you tried since last time, what happened, and what surprised you. Coaches work best with evidence rather than impressions, and the act of writing it down often reveals the real topic for the session.
If you use Coachare's AI coach between sessions, your weekly check-ins already contain most of this. Review them rather than reconstructing the week from memory.
Pick one question you can't answer alone
A session with five topics tends to produce five shallow conversations. Choose the one question where you are genuinely stuck, and say in the first minute why it matters now.
Good questions sound like: "How do I tell my co-founder I disagree with the hiring plan without it becoming personal?" rather than "I want to work on communication."
Decide what you'll share
If you are in a hybrid engagement, decide which goals, action items, and AI summaries you want your coach to see. Sharing is granular and reversible, so share what will make the session better and keep the rest private.
Coaches cannot see your AI conversations unless you explicitly share a summary.
Leave with one commitment
End every session by stating one specific thing you will do, when, and how you will know you did it. Write it as an implementation intention: "When the weekly planning meeting starts, I will ask for the decision first and the context second."
Add it to your goals in Coachare so your AI coach can follow up before the next session.
Put it into practice
Your AI coach can turn this into a goal with milestones and check in with you weekly.
